Big hugs! I could be my centenary day today. ♥ Its a big ask but ask then it shall be given…
Yay! I can’t believe it’s been a year that I’ve been here! If four more folk follow today, then I’ll have a hundred followers. Thanks! Your support makes me happy. What I rely upon is the generosity of my followers to spread the news about my novel. Then, we can empower college & Uni students to stay safe and avoid falling prey to gangs. Or even anyone else heading off for ventures new.

Many thanks to the Bookworm Girl an awesome book blogger who hosted me and the novel, What If I Go? here-
The questions were interesting and were great to reflect upon in my writer journey. Hopefully, I have inspired others to put pen to paper. The novel is aimed at empowering women.
For all those who ask, ..’but what can I do?’ over difficult circumstances or tragic events then my answer might just be, ‘Why not write about it?’
Raising awareness is sometimes all we can do to help traumatic situations. Signposting vulnerable people and victims to support organisations that deal with sensitive issues such as grooming and sexual exploitation is satisfying. At the end of the book there are pages dedicated to victims giving the contact details of helpful organisations for support.
Don’t forget to pack a book or your ereader/tablet. Today the roads and airports are crazy. The schools and colleges have finished. Yay!
Loose yourself within the pages to discover new places and people. It’s such a treat to have the time to read a whole novel. Don’t you think? I’m engrossed in some interesting historical fiction about my area. It goes way back to the Roundheads and Queen Mary and King James. There are feasts and battles galore! Pigeon pie was a meal fit for royalty, then. Today, I had salmon in pastry with prawns in a white wine sauce. That was delicious. Somehow I didn’t fancy pigeon pie!
Lately, I have been for a lovely picnic at a farm park and walked in a Hall gardens only last night. So, I’m grateful for the good weather and the freedom to roam the UK. Those ancient battles enabled my right of passage locally. What a debt I owe my ancestors. How blessed I am. If you like, call it essential research that I’m carrying out. Or it may be that I’m just taking time out to smell the roses.
Hoping you get the chance to do likewise, asap.
My thanks go to fellow author Magdel Roets from South Africa. I appreciate her time and care.
Her review said …’Polly White leaves us with the hope that there is always a way out and that turning back to the Lord God, trusting Him and leaving everything in His capable hands, is the way to total restoration. What If I Go is a story that has a distinct warning and a message of joy awaiting on the other side of trouble.’

I said it with flowers. Sometimes formal isn’t best, though. These country flowers smell great and cheer up a table and the home it’s in. Many of the clipped foliage in the vase could be counted as weeds. There are even grasses, for goodness sake. That doesn’t mean to say they’re less valuable, in my opinion…
Nature does a grand job of raising a smile through the rich tapestry of flora it provides. Or is it God giving the free gift of a sweet aroma for all?
Either way, don’t forget to smell the roses.
I’ve been treated!Honestly, this pudding was delicious. Not with clotted cream but hey. The main was more healthy with moules Thai style. That was very tasty. There were frites alongsite, so quite calorific and definitely not free! I was in a city swanky restaurant recently.
What are basic comfort foods, I wonder? I’ll need to add that answer to my protagonist profile so that I might use it…This helps when #Amwriting… Strawberries or raspberries help me too.
My heartfelt thanks go to Valicity Garris who posted a marvellous review of ‘What If I Go?’ 20 DAYS AGO!

Sorry, I’m so late giving my heartfelt thanks. Put it down to a crazy, heat haze that’s just clearing. However, I do really appreciate the time of reviewers amongst their busy schedule.
All good things go to those who wait…
I am sooooo happy! Not bad for a debut? Please go ahead and check the novel out for your friends and family.
Also, please visit Valicity for more sound advice.
We are enjoying a heat wave! Paddling pools and hose pipes out for slippy slides are essential. I got this henna tattoo on my foot to celebrate. Take a book to the festival for when you’re exhausted from dancing. Glastonbury is this weekend. Yay!
Sun cream and plenty of water to drink, too. Have fun in the sun:)
Hello! Sorry, I was quiet because we went on a family seaside holiday. Yay!!
As well as a huge Atlantic wind that blew the cobwebs away (our UV tent turned inside out!) we found a sheltered spot to catch some welcome rays. Talking of which, Devon has many jelly fish so take your beach shoes. The surfing was magnificent btw… So, it looked! I stuck to paddling in rock pools, mostly. Haha!
We took time to find beauty in the small things. Alongside the rough seas with powerful waves were these countless colourful jewels. What a blessing our coastline offers free for the enjoyment. The odd crab salad and strawberry cream tea brought smiles to our faces, too. Cornish ice cream is made with clotted cream…
Now the diet resumes. The indulgence was worth it:)
