TRUTH OR DARE?
Hello there. Thanks for popping by.
You may well be wondering why I wrote about such a difficult topic as sexual exploitation.
Well, it wasn’t easy.
Unfortunately, it’s in the news all the time here in the UK and it forever loomed large on may radar. I made fiction based upon research indicating that permutations of Grace’s story are drenching our society and that across Europe. Grooming has been a guilty secret hidden for tens of years.
My thriller/suspense aspires to tip off students to the dangers of falling prey to gangs.
I suppose my protagonist plays the ultimate game of truth or dare. As a safe person, it was terrifying going down to the underworld with my protagonist. How else could I have revealed the shocking exploits of perpetrators, otherwise?
Romans 5:3-4 tells us
..because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Is that what Rayne Hall meant when discussing Managing Tension with peeks and troughs, earlier in the Week? See Mystery Triller Author Hour.
Grace went ahead naively travelling to the UK thinking her life would be sorted. She finds out that she made herself vulnerable but got embroiled in the world, too late. Admittedly, bad things happened, but really, it is never too late to brush herself off and find contentment. My story is about having faith.
